Throughout summer months, the park hosts a number of free public events such as beach bonfires, the annual urban island beach party, bird and plant hikes, children’s fishing clinics, family nights, art in the park and educational discussions. Check the calendar frequently for upcoming programs!
For a printable version of this year’s public event offerings, click the link below! We are working on getting them added individually to the site, but due to the amount of programs we conduct this may take a bit.
If you are interested in scheduling a program for your community or school group, or are looking to host your own event on the property, please email email@example.com

Beach Bonfire (Meet at Pebble Beach)
18th October 2018 @ 12:00 am - 2:00 am
Come meet the staff at Lakeshore, and bond over pudgy pies and s’mores! Feel free to bring a musical instrument if you’d like to entertain!
Free. All Ages.
Dogs are welcome at our public events, as long as they are in compliance with the park rule of being on a leash no longer than 8’ in length. As a reminder to all visitors, no alcohol is allowed in the park (with the exception of on-site purchase of beer at the Urban Island Beach Party). It is typically more windy and cool by the lake during our events, so please dress accordingly.
Free parking is available at the south entrance by following Erie St to the park access road along the Milwaukee Harbor and behind Summerfest’s American Family Amphitheater. Limited 3-hour free parking is available along N Harbor Drive and Clybourn St near Discovery World (portions of this may be closed during festival dates). Paid parking is available at the O’Donnell parking structure on Michigan St.
To RSVP for the event, please visit our Friends’ Facebook page at: https://bit.ly/2GUe4J1. If you do not have Facebook, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know you will be attending. Hope to see you there!
