Let’s Play in the Snow!-Cancelled
February 17 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pmFree
Update: Unfortunately, the weather is not cooperating and we have to cancel playing in the snow on Saturday. More melted than anticipated and it is almost completely gone already. We’ll try again if we get another snow storm this season.
This is what it looked like as of 3:30pm on Thursday 2/15/18:
The snow looks like it’s going to stick around for a bit, and this gives us a reason to get outside! Come down to Lakeshore State Park and make snow sculptures and snow castles, and paint the snow in the big lawn area in the middle of the park (it’s the area that is connected to the pebble beach). We’ll have some ‘sand castle’ molds and spray bottles of ‘paint’ to decorate your creations with.
Dress warm, and snow pants are recommended. This event is for ALL ages! Let us know you are coming by clicking on ‘Going’ on the event page: : goo.gl/jUaJaX We will meet in the big lawn area, and while you’re walking up you can look out for fox tracks in the snow 🙂
As always, free parking is available at the south entrance (follow Erie St. behind Summerfest’s American Family Amphitheater), and there is limited free parking from the north entrance off of Harbor Dr. and Clybourn St.
