Throughout summer months, the park hosts a number of free public events such as beach bonfires, the annual urban island beach party, bird and plant hikes, children’s fishing clinics, family nights, art in the park and educational discussions. Check the calendar frequently for upcoming programs!

Park staff will supply poles and bait for up to 20 children as we fish for panfish. Children younger than 16 do not require a fishing license. Free.
