Earth Day turned out to be the nicest day yet this year in Milwaukee, and quite a day it was at Lakeshore State Park while 33 volunteers gathered 27 large bags of trash – thank you Milwaukee Riverkeeper and volunteers!
Looking for a group activity? Schedule a tour of the park, learn about upcoming events or volunteer opportunities, and the new process for volunteering with DNR-sponsored events.
We have an active, all-volunteer board. Recently we pitched and won a 2022 grant from Greater Milwaukee Foundation for a DNR naturalist educator for the season. We look forward to more groups taking advantage of the increased educational programing available as pandemic restrictions subside in the months ahead.
Do you have a passion for volunteering and want to help make our park and the Milwaukee lakefront thrive? Help us plan and support park events this summer! Other ways to help are available as well. If interested, please complete the form at this link and we’ll quickly get back with you.
In next month’s newsletter, please look for our membership appeal which will help ensure sufficient funding for park programs. Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you out at the park soon!
