Help showcase Milwaukee’s beautiful waterfront before the USA Triathlon National Championships take place here next weekend!
Join the Friends of Lakeshore State Park and Forward Outdoor for a $10 community kayak cleanup of the Lakeshore State Park lagoon, then celebrate with a social at the War Memorial Beer Garden. All cleanup gear and kayaking equipment provided. Please join us, we hope to see you there!

Did you know that some of the native prairie plants growing in the park are medicinal? Join our Naturalist to learn more about these plants and their uses as we hike around the park. Wed, August 19: Beach Bonfire and Prairie Plants Bookmark Making, 5:00-8:30pm (Pebble Beach)
Take advantage of our long summer nights and join Lakeshore State Park staff for a bonfire at Pebble Beach. Feel free to hang out and enjoy the fire or just stop by for a s’more. Donations for s’mores are welcome but are not required and benefit the Friends of Lakeshore State Park. All ages and abilities are welcome to join us! This event is weather dependent and won’t occur if rain is in the forecast. Meet at Pebble Beach.
Join our Naturalists for a craft inspired by the beauty of summer in the Wisconsin prairie! Create your own bookmark using native flowers and grasses while learning more about these plants and why the prairie ecosystem is so important! This event will take place on Pebble Beach during the bonfire. All ages and abilities welcome!

Did you know that dragonflies are the most successful hunters in the animal kingdom? They catch 95% of the prey they hunt, more than any other predator observed! Come observe and learn more about these tiny, fierce hunters with a walk around the park. All ages and abilities welcome! Meet at the south entrance park sign. Lakeshore State Park is home to over 200 species of native plants! Come join one of our Naturalists for a hike to learn more about what’s blooming at the end of the summer.
